DO NOT let the media scare you off from purchasing a home this season. The fact is that homebuyers are spiraling into bidding wars over homes and home prices have skyrocketed, BUT, do not let these facts scare you. Even though home prices have increased, interest rates have dropped meaning that you can afford a more expensive home. Rates are currently at their lowest since the end of February. The good news is that if you are a current homeowner you have been given a second chance to take advantage of low refinance rates. If you think you missed the boat to refinance, now is your chance to do so. If you wish to upgrade your home and moving is not for you, consider a cash-out refinance. You can use this money to make any improvements to your home or payoff debt.
